CounterProductive

I started writing this a few months ago. It’s been a few months and my opinion hasn’t changed, so I guess I should publish it. The wait proves to me that this IS what I believe in, and I have come to the conclusion that I just need to move in the direction that I feel is right, no matter haw scary it looks.

The more I get into Natural Building, the more coming to work in corporate software support seems counter productive (both on a global and personal scale). I used to think that a little footbag was enough exercise (it does have an effect on my blood sugar), but after working outside and witnessing the positive effects that it had on my health, it feels very silly coming into the office to sit on my ass and allow my blood sugar to boil over. Everything will be fine as long as I keep buying insulin from the drug companies. What I’m finding is that I don’t need to buy that if I can get out of this chair, away from this computer, and move around a bit (ok, quite a bit) during the day, my gulcose levels almost regulate themselves and I feel much better both physically and mentally. the catch to that is: by getting out of this chair, I loose the insurance for my whole family and an income that is almost guaranteed if I just make it to my cube. Kind of a catch 22. My overall focus is shifting towards natural building. I’m building a supply of tools. I’m creating templates to post to craigslist, newspaper, send in the mail … however I can think to get the word out. I am a natural builder, and spending my weekdays as a computer technician is a huge distraction from what I’ve found is the right thing for me to do. Don’t get me wrong; I think that some kind of computer related work is one of my options for an income generator in the cold wet months, but it shouldn’t be my main focus.

On a related note. I’m once again going to put a larger focus on this web space. I am exploring the potential of WordPress, and am pretty happy with it so far. =)

I have always been proud of each of my children; but I am especially proud of this new life path that my youngest son has embarked upon. I have always “SEAn” the Potential Difference! Love you, Mom
